Ducklings & Chicks

We breed our birds for our own purposes and typically have extra babies to share. They are not show quality, but will serve you well if you are looking for a pet or backyard birds of your own.

Minimum of 2, unsexed. (3-4 Highly Recommended)

Birds are flock animals and thrive when they have a flock. Having at least 3-4 in your flock gives you a safety net when something unfortunate happens and helps to ensure that you don’t end up with a lone depressed bird and a stressful situation trying to add in the wrong season.

We hatch in the spring & summer only. This is to ensure the babies are full grown and fully feathered by the time winter rolls around. I do not promote Easter purchases, please don’t ask.

If you are unable to raise babies or need to find an older companion for your existing birds, we may be able to help.


We don’t vent sex our babies as this can be dangerous. Chickens & Ducks can be sexed around 8-12 weeks old based on size and personality. (At this age they are feathered and look like small adults, not chicks/ducklings anymore.)


We don’t typically sell older birds as we have found this can be extremely stressful on the birds. That said, we also recognize that there are situations, both on our end or yours, that can be mitigated by the transfer of older birds. If you find yourself in this type of situation, feel free to reach out, but know that we do not intentionally keep extra birds for this purpose.
